MOBIADO CPT003 CONCEPT PHONE: DESIGN IN MOBILITY
(April 24th, 2012)

The CPT003, both engineering art and a phone concept, highlights the creativity of Mobiado. Mobiado is consistently guided by a philosophy of doing things differently, and this principle has now given rise to the CPT003 concept phone. Staying on the cutting edge of design required the freedom to constantly push the limits of what a luxury phone can be. Combining engineering influenced artistic design with inspiration from couture fashion, designer Peter Bonac has added another device to Mobiado’s collection of ultimate mobile instruments.

The CPT003 is wrapped in fine Italian leather with gold zippers and sewn together with gold thread. The touch screen is made from a single large piece of sapphire crystal and the volume and power buttons are made from solid gold. The CPT003 is intended purely as a conceptual design showcase for future potential developments.

MOBIADO CPT002 CONCEPT(April 5th, 2011)

Luxury mobile phone producer, Mobiado has joined an exclusive community of brand licensees of the Aston Martin brand.

Further to the brand license agreement, Mobiado recently embarked on the independent development of a concept phone, drawing inspiration from connections it saw with Aston Martin’s renown design values – fusing a strong heritage and traditional craftsmanship with modern technology.

Based in Vancouver, Canada Mobiado has established a reputation of being a distinctively different and innovative manufacturer since the company’s foundation in 2004 producing amongst the most luxurious and technologically advanced mobile phones available today.

Mobiado recently unveiled details of the futuristic CPT002 handset – produced independently by Mobiado - which is intended purely as a conceptual design showcase and will not be made available for sale. While the technological capabilities of the concept will not be achievable in production form, the showcase illustrates Mobiado’s thoughts on how hypothetically one day phones could potentially interact with other technologies and also presents innovative ideas on future applications.

Note to Editors:

For the avoidance of doubt, Aston Martin cars do not interact with any such phone and the operation of any and all features on its cars (including without limitation, safety features, airbags
etc) do not depend on any external device, such as this concept phone in order to function as required.

All images of the CPT002 handset concept and description of functionality are conceptual only and are the sole creative thoughts of Mobiado. Any questions about the concept phone or image usage should be addressed exclusively to Mobiado at contact@mobiado.com.

MOBIADO CPT001 CONCEPT(April 6th, 2010)

Mobiado is consistently guided by a philosophy of doing things differently, and this principle has now given rise to the CPT001 concept phone.  Staying on the cutting edge of design required the freedom to push the limits of what a luxury phone can be.  The CPT001 is made from one piece of solid marble with gold filled engraved letters and details.  The touch screen is made from a single large piece of sapphire.   The buttons and watch crown are made from solid gold, with a magnificent gold skeleton mechanical watch movement placed between the Call and End buttons.

The use of marble is an ode to grand marble statues of the renaissance era.  To some the concept of a marble phone may seem unusual; however it is this type of unique “out of the box” thinking in design and materials that allows creation and innovation to evolve. The purpose of a concept is to push the boundaries of invention, allowing concept ideas to be identified for future production designs. Mobiado’s passion for the avant-garde is an essential element of its DNA and history, and the driving force of its R&D strategy.
